About Dillon
Dillon Lewis is the Director of Advancement Communications at Chautauqua Institution. He develops messaging to promote philanthropy across the Chautauqua community and support the Institution’s strategic initiatives. He joined the staff in May 2022. He previously served as Director of Development & Marketing for NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists and worked as an intern at the National Endowment for the Arts, Americans for the Arts, and Gretna Theatre. He is a graduate of the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University. He grew up in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, where he benefitted from the offerings of the Pennsylvania Chautauqua at Mount Gretna.
Current and Former Volunteer or Board Roles
Dillon has been a singing member of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington since 2017 and serves on the organization’s marketing committee.

Dillon is a member of both the Association of Fundraising Professionals and NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists.
Personal Interests
In his spare time, Dillon enjoys supporting local theatre, singing with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, exploring museums and historic sites, and listening to country, bluegrass, and old-time music. He plays autoharp poorly, but proudly.
