About Kevin
Kevin joined Chautauqua Institution in July 2022. As the food and beverage operations manager, he helps run our outlets with food and beverages. It involves a lot of legwork, talking to the associated employees, checking that an event is running properly, and setting goals for servers and food/beverage staff. He also helps with scheduled events as needed.
Kevin started his career in his grandmother’s café. He enjoyed it so much that he worked his way up in the industry through several restaurants. Working within the Athenaeum Hotel, the hospitality aspect is a welcome new experience for him. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in business management at Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Why did you choose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?
I liked that it was a nonprofit and wanted to see how that side of the business works. Also, it is very fulfilling educationally and informationally. I also like what Chautauqua stands for and what they do for the community.
Personal Interests
Camping, backpacking, hiking, home revitalization and improvements, travel: also spending time with family, close friends, and his two Miniature Pinschers.
