Philip is the main dining manager where he focuses on the day-to-day management of the Heirloom Restaurant. He is excited to bring consistent and enjoyable service to a world-class destination like the Institution. He is currently working to gain his Level One sommelier certification.
Prior to Chautauqua, Philip gained nearly six years of experience in the restaurant in both front and back (kitchen) of house roles, at four different restaurants in Buffalo and Philadelphia. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Niagara University in 2021 and counts celebrity chef and author Anthony Bourdain and hotel executive Arne Sorensonas professional inspirations. Outside of CHQ, he is a writer, having been published in Niagara University’s 2021 literary journal The Aquila and is actively working on two screenplays.
