About Dreux
I accepted the Buildings and Grounds (B&G) Purchasing and Inventory Clerk position in January 2017. In this position, I maintain our stock of repair parts, maintenance supplies and housekeeping products. I also make most of the B&G purchases and some of the purchases for the Institution at large. Prior to this position I worked for the Institution as a tradesman for 12 years. Before that I interned for a short time with the Information Technology department under Cindy Mando’s supervision. I have a Computer Science degree from Jamestown Community College and an Adventure Sports degree from Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland. Prior to that I served in the U.S. Navy as a sonar technician from 1991-1995, stationed out of Norfolk, Virginia.
Why did you chose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?
During high school, I worked as a customer service agent for the Institution’s Ticketing department and always enjoyed the culture of Chautauqua and its many facets. Working for Chautauqua Institution, I feel like I’m a valued member of a large and talented family.
Current and Former Volunteer or Board Service Roles
I have been a den leader and a member of the Pack Committee for our local Pack 115. I have also volunteered with the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
