Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York
Ukrainian Chorus Dumka was formed in New York City in 1949 to preserve and cultivate the rich secular and religious musical heritage of Ukraine. The chorus has performed concerts at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Kennedy Center, as well as European tours and an annual Christmas concert at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. The Chorus appeared on Saturday Night Live in February 2022. This program will celebrate Ukrainian culture with a mix of sacred and traditional folk music. A portion of single ticket revenue will be donated to International Rescue Committee for relief efforts in Ukraine.
