Folk Music and Food Festival at Chautauqua Institution

Food and music lovers will gather for a festival featuring amazing music, great food and craft beverages. Each day will feature a Food Festival in Bestor Plaza with concerts in the Amphitheater or Norton Hall. Your Amphitheater concert tickets grant you access to the grounds of Chautauqua Institution beginning at 4 p.m. so you have plenty of time to eat and drink before the show! Want to come earlier? You can arrive at noon and purchase an afternoon pass for an additional $15.

Interested in seeing multiple concerts and spending the night? You can stay for a few days or for the week at the Athenaeum Hotel or a private rental and purchase a Traditional Gate Pass that includes general admission seats to all concerts and events! The hotel offers all-inclusive packages or you can purchase your gate pass at tickets.chq.org.

Sunday, Aug. 21: Noon–6 p.m.
Aug. 22–26: Noon–2 p.m. and 4–8 p.m. (some vendors may remain open from 2–4 p.m.)

How to Access the Events (if not on Chautauqua’s Grounds)

Sunday, August 21: Free entry

Destination Pass: $5

Enables access the grounds to patronize any restaurant, retail store, spa or salon, or other on-grounds businesses. Must be purchased at the Main Gate Ticket Office.

Morning Program Ticket: $30

Valid 8 a.m.–2 p.m. and grants entry to the Chautauqua Lecture Series in the Amphitheater.

Afternoon Program Ticket: $15

Valid noon–8 p.m. and grants entry to the Interfaith Lecture Series in the Amphitheater.

Evening Program Ticket: Price Varies

Valid 4 p.m.–midnight and grants entry to the concert in the Amphitheater. Make it a one-of-a-kind experience with food, drinks and a concert!

Daily Parking: $10

Guests park in the Main Lot, located across the street from the Main Gate Welcome Center. Chautauqua is a pedestrian community but bus and trams are available. Click or tap here to see a map of the grounds and the live bus/tram schedule.
