CHQ Near You 2022

On Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 24, NOW Generation volunteers are organizing events in six cities spanning the country to bring “CHQNearYou.”

Each gathering features a different vibe — be it a brewery tour, “open mic” event, lecture or a family-friendly tour of gardens — and you’re invited! With NOW Gen hosts designing these gatherings, we are excited to bring Chautauquans together in person, and further connect the NOW Gen community through social media.

Please join us for a casual brown bag picnic and an afternoon of fun on the Presidio Main Post lawn. We’ll bring drinks, dessert and family-friendly lawn games. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch or grab something to-go from the adjacent Presidio Bowl Cafe. The Presidio Main Post Lawn is large — we’ll be set up at the top of the lawn immediately across the street from Presidio Bowl.

Join us for coffee, conversation, and a hike through Highland Park! Coffee and pastries provided. Feel free to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike); Highland Park is a great place to go for a bike ride. This is a family-friendly, all-ages event. Note: It’s too early in the season to book park shelters so if the rhododendron shelter is already taken, we’ll move to the next shelter. We’ll be sure to post a sign at the location, but feel free to call or text Erin day-of if you have any questions.
