Chautauqua Institution Receives Grant From The Children’s Guild Foundation Supporting Its Accessible and Inclusive Arts Education Programs

Chautauqua Institution announced today that Chautauqua Arts Education has been awarded a $60,000 grant from The Children’s Guild Foundation (CGF) to support its arts education programming for students with disabilities. This generous award will support programming over three years, providing sustained support for program offerings and adaptations that foster greater accessibility and engagement for students of all abilities.
The CGF is a longstanding supporter of organizations serving children with disabilities throughout Western New York, including an interest in supporting educational initiatives. This latest grant award reflects a continued partnership between the CGF and Chautauqua Arts Education, building on a previous three-year grant that was successfully completed.

Chautauqua Institution provides hands-on arts education programs for Pre-K through 12th grade, fostering creativity and self-expression in schools across Chautauqua County, New York. These programs engage students in music, theater, visual arts and writing that helps them learn about their world while expressing themselves through the arts. Chautauqua Arts Education prioritizes inclusion and accessibility in all programs through the implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. These efforts ensure students of varying abilities can participate, learn and grow together in an enriching artistic environment.
