Every summer, Chautauqua Institution brings some of the world’s most talented musicians, vocalists, dancers and visual artists to the grounds for educational and performance opportunities amid our world-class culture and arts environment.
Instrumental Program
Each summer we enroll 80 of the most promising young instrumentalists from the United States and abroad to join us for an exciting summer of music-making.
Piano Program
The piano program offers plentiful lessons, classes, and performance opportunities, guided by an exceptional internationally-renowned faculty.
Opera Conservatory
The Chautauqua Opera Conservatory is a five-week intensive educational program that seeks to offer the highest caliber of training for the young singer, 18 and older.
Conducting Fellowship
The David Effron Conducting Fellowship is awarded to a gifted student pursuing a career in conducting. The applicant must be enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last year) from a graduate conducting program.
