Shaw Laundry

The Shaw Laundry facility will be closing effective April 5, 2024, while we repair machines and relocate them to the Soap Opera self-serve laundry facility, located on Massey Avenue next to the Chautauqua Safety and Security office.
We expect the new facility to open for public use by June 15, 2024. Hours of operation will be posted soon.
The new facility will include new and refurbished equipment and will also offer wash and fold service. Starting April 15, 2024, wash and fold service is available upon request. Contact us at athenaeum@chq.org or via phone at 716-357-4444 for pricing and scheduling.
During Chautauqua’s nine-week Summer Assembly, a Traditional Gate Pass, Grounds Access Pass, Destination Pass ($10) or Sunday Free Pass will be required to access The Soap Opera self-serve laundry facility.
Soap Opera Laundromat

The Soap Opera is being renovated to serve as the primary location for self-service laundry at Chautauqua. It will re-open by June 15, 2024, as a year-round facility, including new and refurbished equipment as well as wash and fold service. Hours of operation will be posted soon.
