CTC champions new plays, serving as a national hub for commissioning, developing, and producing works by both established and emerging playwrights.
CTC further deepens its commitment to new play development with the Roe Green Theater Center, opening in June 2026. This new artistic home will allow for the addition of playwrighting fellows, flexible rehearsal spaces, and a state-of-the-art black box theater, solidifying CTC’s status as one of the nation’s premier accelerators of theater talent and new work. This summer, CTC will support four separate writers in residence and present eight new plays at various stages of development throughout Summer 2026 with readings, staged workshops, and a world premiere commission.
