Chautauqua Women’s Club
The Chautauqua Women’s Club, founded in 1889, has enjoyed a long, proud, vital history as an integral part of the Chautauqua experience.
Bird, Tree & Garden Club
Founded in 1913, the purpose of the Chautauqua Bird, Tree & Garden Club is to help keep Chautauqua beautiful.
LGBTQ+ and Friends
The LGBTQ and Friends Group at Chautauqua Institution aims to expand diversity within the Chautauqua Institution community by creating a sense of welcome and shared community for LGBTQ people and by educating family, friends, allies, teachers, pastors and others, through dialogue, about the LGBTQ community and their experience.
“Friends of” Groups
Chautauqua Institution is blessed with a large community of volunteers that support the many programs that take place each summer. Our many “Friends of” groups and their networks help to strengthen connections between Chautauquans and our resident artists and presenters.
CPOA (Property Owners)
The CPOA is an independent volunteer organization whose mission is to enhance the Chautauqua experience, quality of life, and sense of community of Chautauqua Property Owners.
Denominations and Religious Organizations
In addition to Department of Religion programs, Denominational Houses and religious organizations at Chautauqua Institution offer religious services, lectures and low-cost housing options during the nine-week Chautauqua season.
Chautauqua Cinema
Located in historic Higgins Hall on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution and curated by the same family for three generations, the Chautauqua Cinema is a one-of-a-kind, movie-going experience.
Chautauqua Trail
Chautauqua was a social and cultural phenomenon that permeated rural North America until the mid-1920s. Today only a handful of Chautauqua communities survive.
CHQ Dialogues
The Chautauqua Dialogue Program is devoted to the ideal that people of widely differing backgrounds and opinions can communicate in open, kind and compassionate ways that bridge their differences with love and understanding. The intention is for participants to experience dialogue as an important tool for building compassion, understanding and community.
