Friends of Chautauqua Theater

Friends of Chautauqua Theater is dedicated to ensuring that the theater remains a powerful pillar of the arts community at Chautauqua, and enhancing appreciation of and engagement with theater at Chautauqua and beyond.

• Founded in 1994, FCT has played an important role in connecting Chautauqua Theater Company to the broader Chautauqua community.
• FCT provides funds that help support innovative and dynamic initiatives created by CTC.
• FCT members develop enjoyable friendships with others who share a love of theater, and build relationships with the Company as they inspire, entertain, and teach the entire Chautauqua community through the magic of theater.
• Participate in play discussions, combined Friend/Company events and additional off-season activities.

Your membership helps:


• Support new theatre initiatives.
• Welcome CTC company members to Chautauqua, and help enhance their experience throughout the season.
• Connect CTC company members to the broader community.

Friends are also involved in the life of Chautauqua Theater in other ways:

• Friends are invited to members-only CTC live and virtual programs to enhance their understanding of the theater and the plays presented each season.
• Friends are invited to the annual “Meet the Company” event and other activities throughout the season.
• Additional Producer’s Circle membership is free and open to those interested in a more active CTC volunteer role and brings you an invitation to an exclusive PC party at the end of the season.
