Chautauqua Institution is blessed with a large community of volunteers that support the many programs that take place each summer. Our many “Friends of” groups and their networks help to strengthen connections between Chautauquans and our resident artists and presenters.
Friends of Chautauqua Theater
Since 1994, the Friends of Chautauqua Theater Company have played an important role in encouraging Chautauqua Institution’s commitment to theater as a vital part of the performing arts during the season.
Opera Guild
The Chautauqua Opera Guild serves as the advocacy group in support of the Chautauqua Opera Company.
Friends of the Chautauqua Writers’ Center
Friends of the Chautauqua Writers’ Center, formerly known as Chautauqua Literary Arts Friends (CLAF), is a volunteer network of writers and readers who work year-round in support of Chautauqua Literary Arts.
CLSC Alumni Association
The Alumni Association of the CLSC was incorporated in 1893 to provide an organization that encourages CLSC graduates to continue reading and study.
