Digital Wallet Guide
Here’s your guide to using digital wallet tickets and passes. Please note the following changes for digital tickets.
Add Tickets to Your Digital Wallet
- Open the email containing your tickets on your mobile device.
- Tap the Apple Wallet®(.wallet) file (iOS) or PKPASS file (Android™).
- Follow the prompts to add the pass to your digital wallet.
- Have your ticket ready to scan when you arrive at a gate or venue.
Send Digital Wallet Tickets to Others in Your Order
On iOS with Apple Wallet®
- Add all digital wallet tickets to your Apple Wallet app as instructed above.
- Open the specific ticket you want to send.
- Tickets must be shared one at a time so they reach the correct person.
- For individually assigned items — such as gate passes or Special Studies classes — make sure
to confirm the intended user.
- Use the built-in share feature (text, AirDrop®, email, etc).
- Send the ticket directly to the person who will be using it.
- a. They’ll receive a copy of their own digital ticket to use.
- Delete the gate pass or ticket from your own digital wallet.
On Android with Google Wallet™
- Add only your digital wallet tickets to your Google Wallet app as instructed above
- Open the original email containing your tickets.
- Select “Forward Email” or similar.
- Before you send, remove any tickets and receipt attachements that you do not wish to forward.
- Tickets must be shared one at a time so they reach the correct person
- For individually assigned items — such as gate passes or Special Studies classes — make sure
to confirm the intended user.
- Once you remove all tickets you wish to not share, you can send your email.
Reminder that shared tickets will remain in your digital wallet app. Only one person can use a pass or ticket – invalid usage will not allow entry to the Chautauqua grounds or event venue. Once shared, it is suggested to delete these tickets from your device to avoid confusion.
Use Your Digital Wallet Tickets at Gates & Venues
- Open your digital wallet before you reach the scanner.
Tip: On most phones, double-clicking the side button brings up your wallet instantly. - Select the correct ticket or pass for the event or date.
- Hold your phone screen over the scanner until you see confirmation of entry.
- If the scanner struggles, increase your screen brightness.
- No screenshots, photos, or PDFs—they cannot be scanned.
