About Debbie

Debbie Moore is the executive director of the Chautauqua Foundation. She came to the Foundation as its chief financial officer at the end of 2011. Chautauqua Foundation exists to support Chautauqua Institution through the preservation, appropriate use, and the growth of endowment funds. As its executive director, Debbie is responsible for the fulfillment of the Foundation’s mission, strategy and daily operations.

Debbie began her career in public accounting at Buffamante, Whipple & Buttafaro, P.C. in Jamestown. While there she earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and focused primarily on auditing services for non-profit, government and manufacturing clients, including many local foundations. She then worked at the U.S. headquarters of Truck-Lite Company, a subsidiary of Penske Corporation, where she was responsible for the standard costing system, manufacturing budgets, and profit margin analysis. She earned her master’s degree in business administration at the University of Buffalo.
