Professional Development for Teachers

Chautauqua Institution is proud to serve as a year-round resource for arts-integrated learning for teachers and students in Chautauqua County. As a Kennedy Center Partners in Education team, Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua Lake Central School and Jamestown Public Schools are working together towards increasing arts integrated instruction for students.

To work towards this goal, Chautauqua Institution connects schools to professional development offerings provided by nationally-regarded arts integration workshop leaders that are in alignment with each district’s professional learning plans. Additionally, the partnership is committed to providing sustainable arts integrated offerings and increasing student exposure to local artists through hosting “ArtSpark,” a day providing multiple arts workshops to secondary school students.
