The Chautauqua Opera Conservatory is designed to guide and empower young artists through training and vast performance opportunities in a wide array of repertoire with excellent faculty.
In 2026, the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory will enroll twenty-five students, all of whom will receive a full scholarship, covering the cost of tuition, room, and meals.

- Die Zauberflöte – Mozart (Sung in German with English Dialogue)
- Double Bill with the Music School Festival Orchestra
- L’Enfant Prodigue – Debussy
- Les Mamelles de Tiresias – Poulenc
Additional projects will include :
- Art Song Recital
- Vocal Chamber Music Recital
- Opera Scenes
- Cabaret
- SAI Competition (Rotates yearly between the three School of Music programs. Winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and perform with the Music School Festival Orchestra in 2027.)

Chautauqua welcomes applications from talented students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin or religious background. Admission is by application and audition for full-term students.

About the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory and Facilities
The Chautauqua Opera Conservatory is an intensive educational program that seeks to offer the highest caliber of training for the young singer, 18 and older.

Sigma Alpha Iota Competition
The Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc. Competition rotates annually among the three departments, in 2026 the competition will be held within the Opera Conservatory.
