Renewals: March 18 purchase deadline to maintain parking rights.
Reassignment requests: Submit request to ticketoffice@chq.org by March 14. If reassigned, we require the original parking pass to be returned before the reassigned parking pass will be issued. EV Chargers
Chautauqua Institution is committed to supporting our growing Electric Vehicle–driving community. For 2026, we offer weekly and season-long pass options for flexible, recurring use of designated EV charging spaces in the North Lot and the two outlets in the South Lot.
Here’s what you need to know to participate responsibly and ensure a positive charging experience for all.
EV Charging Access Options (North & South Lot Locations)
- One-Week EV Charging Pass – $15
- Season-Long EV Charging Pass – $60
Charging Locations Included with your EV Charging Pass:

Daily charging passes will no longer be offered for these spots in the North and South Lot. If you only need to charge for a few hours or one day, please use the two ChargePoint chargers in the South Lot, which allow patrons to pay at the charger. You must have a valid 2025 parking pass for any Institution parking area to enter the South Lot and use the ChargePoint chargers.
Using EV Spaces with Your Charging Pass
- You do not need to notify the Ticket Office that you are using an EV charger or outlet once you have purchased your weeklong or season EV Charging Pass.
- EV charging locations are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Use any available EV charging space in the North or South Lot (does not include ChargePoint in the South Lot).
- Your EV Charging Pass must be visible on your dashboard.
- Set a timer or monitor charging through your car’s app.
- Move your car immediately once charging is complete.
Safety & Security will monitor these spaces to ensure availability and fairness. If your vehicle remains in a charging spot after charging is complete:
- You will receive a ticket.
- You may be contacted directly – phone numbers will be printed on each EV Charging Pass.
Why This Matters
Chautauqua is committed to sustainability and innovation. This pilot is a learning opportunity, for the Institution and for our patrons. By participating responsibly, you’re helping us develop long-term, effective EV infrastructure that meets the needs of our community.

About Demand Based Pricing
Chautauqua has demand-based pricing for Adult Gate Passes. Demand-based pricing lets us adapt prices based on attendance volume on specific days of the Chautauqua season. This approach allows for flexible pricing that benefits both our patrons and the sustainability of Chautauqua.
A few key points about demand-based pricing and what it means to you are listed below.
Flexible Pricing: Demand-based pricing lets us set gate prices that align with the demand for different days at Chautauqua. Unlike airline or hotel demand models, Chautauqua’s pricing will not surge unreasonably in response to heightened demand.
Scheduled Price Increases: Chautauqua will open sales on Jan. 20 with pricing that reflects anticipated demand by day. After that, Gate Pass prices will increase based on demand twice: March 4 and June 3, 2026. March 4 and June 3 prices will be posted online one week in advance.
Early-Purchase Advantage: By securing your tickets before March 4, you are likely to pay the lowest price for your gate pass.
Multi-Day Discount: Chautauqua will continue to offer discounts based on the length of your Gate Pass. The longer you stay at Chautauqua, the greater the discount.
Supporting Chautauqua: Your continued support plays a crucial role in the success of Chautauqua. Demand-based pricing helps us maintain the quality of our programs, ensuring we can continue bringing you engaging content and providing the services and support that sometimes need to flex with attendance numbers.
