I started my journey with Chautauqua Institution in June of 1997. I was hired by the Police Department as a gate security officer. From there I moved up steadily, working in every position in the department from bike patrol, gate supervisor, bike patrol supervisor, police officer, police sergeant, and most recently as officer in charge. In addition to working at Chautauqua Institution, I am currently employed with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy sheriff since 2009. In the past, I have also worked for the New Directions Detention facility as a youth counselor from 2006 to 2009.
Why did you choose to work at Chautauqua? What do you like about working at Chautauqua?
Chautauqua has always interested me, even as a child I remember looking at Chautauqua as this magical place. What I like most about working at Chautauqua Institution would be the sense of family.
