CSO Endowment Gala
July 7 • Athenaeum Hotel Parlor
The CSOL is co-presenting a gala to fund the endowment for the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy preferred seating at the concert that follows. Tickets are available on our website. Please help us keep our orchestra strong!
Post-Concert Reception
July 16 • Athenaeum Hotel
We will be honoring our long-time orchestra members at this “meet and greet” reception. CSOL members enjoy food and fellowship served by Athenaeum staff while we form new friendships. New members and donations are welcome at the door.
Annual Member’s and Musician’s Family Picnic
July 22 • 12:30 p.m. • Elizabeth S. Lenna Hall
Join us on the lawn outside of Lenna for a picnic lunch with CSO members and our music-loving community. After lunch, there will be an open rehearsal inside the air-conditioned hall at 2 p.m. This is a closed event for CSO and CSOL members.
Children and Families Reception
Learn about the instruments of the orchestra and meet CSO musicians. This Cookie Reception is for our youngest audience members. All children should be accompanied by an adult. Details will be announced in The Chautauquan Daily.
Post-Concert Reception
Aug. 11 • Athenaeum Hotel
We celebrate a season of great music-making with guest conductor (and former David Effron conducting fellow) Hannah Schendel. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drink specials in the company of performers and friends. New members and donations are welcome at the door.
CSOL Members Meet The Musicians
Organized for the primary purpose of giving orchestra fans opportunities to meet music professionals, the CSOL provides several social and educational opportunities during the season. League membership is open to all Chautauquans whether visiting for one week or for the whole season. Being a member allows access to post-concert receptions at the Athenaeum and the annual family CSO/CSOL picnic. These gatherings provide opportunities for interaction between the musicians and their fans. Lifelong friendships have evolved through these engagements. A robust membership in the CSOL also sends a message to the funders of the Institution that the orchestra holds a special place in the hearts and lives of so many Chautatuquans.
